Bluestone

Modern Slavery Statement

Version: BS.202309.01MSS

This statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Bluestone Leasing Ltd (Bluestone) has taken and continues to take to ensure there is no slavery or human trafficking within our business or our supply chains.

Bluestone takes a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to preventing and protecting people from slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities.

Policies

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. Some of which include:

Whistleblowing policy

We encourage all staff to report any concerns related to our activities and those of our suppliers. This includes concerns around modern slavery in our business or supply chain.

Treating customers fairly policy

This policy explains the manner in which we behave as an organisation and how we expect our employees and suppliers to act and treat our customers.

Suppliers

We continually review our supply chains and procurement processes, by conducting a risk assessment of the sectors and geographical locations in which our suppliers operate in.

Before we set up any new relationships with potential suppliers we engage with the supplier to seek assurance about their anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and whether they are taking steps to prevent slavery and human trafficking in their respective business and supply chains.

We will, under no circumstances, support or engage with suppliers who are aware of slavery or human trafficking within their business practices or supply chain.

Based on our review we are confident that the risk of modern slavery within Bluestone and our suppliers is very low. However to further reduce the risk, we aim to engage more closely with our suppliers on a practical level in order to highlight and prevent any potential risks surrounding slavery and trafficking.

Future plans

We are committed to continuing to develop our understanding of the issues surrounding modern slavery and taking a proactive approach in mitigating the risks involved in modern slavery. We will continue to review our policies, processes and controls, as well as look for new ways to strengthen our controls around slavery and exploitation.

This statement has been approved by our Board of Directors and will be reviewed and updated annually.
