The business is established under its original name Wyse Leasing (North) Limited as part of a group of IT asset finance intermediaries.
We start to finance interiors.
The annual value of assets financed exceeds £10 million for the first time. We move to Appleton Court, Calder Park.
Renamed Bluestone Leasing and established as one of the few independently owned asset finance intermediaries, which it remains to this day.
The sales team is reorganised to specialise in IT and interiors, and we establish a credit team to carry out pre-underwriting.
As a result of expansion, we move offices to Silkwood Park, Wakefield.
A general assets team is established to broaden our service and we start to expand nationally.
Our own in-house funder scheme is set up and our Attain partner accreditation programme is launched.
The annual value of assets we financed exceeds £20 million. We win Leasing World’s “Top Business Assets Broker” award, the first of many awards.
Touchstone, our bespoke customer management system, is launched.
We become one of the first asset finance intermediaries to achieve full Financial Conduct Authority accreditation.
The annual value of assets we financed exceeds £40 million. Bluestone has its 20th anniversary, our ‘end of Lease’ team is established, and we buy our current headquarters at Lakeside House, Calder Park.
Bluestone Vehicles division is launched. We also launched Bluestone Academy with the aim of providing continuous professional development.
The annual value of assets we financed exceeds £60 million.
New business of £65 million and total business including loans and invoice discounting of £95 million establishes a business record. Bluestone becomes a member of Women in Finance Charter, which exists to increase the number and seniority of women in the finance industry.
The sales team is reorganised into key account managers and regional account managers, allowing the business to combine asset specialisation with truly national coverage for the first time.
Our own book surpasses £1 million in funding.
We win the prestigious Business Moneyfacts “Asset Finance Broker of the Year” Award for the second time in 3 years.
Rebrand to Bluestone to reflect the diversity of the services we offer and launch of our innovative Bluestone Portal for customers and partners.
