A Salon Fit Out for Hand Made Hair Ltd

Josh Wood Colour Atelier, a hair salon based in a mews house in London’s Holland Park is renowned for its ability to create personalised colour and is home to a dream team of colourists and stylists handpicked by Josh himself. Operating since 2015, their creative talent and technical expertise, honed whilst working on fashion shows and red carpets events, draws clients from all over the world.

Challenge

The salon wanted a new lease of life, and they decided to refurbish the space by implementing a high-end fit out. Whilst the business was able to cover the cost of the refurbishment themselves, they were looking at available options that would enable them to protect cashflow within the business for further investment and growth, whilst benefitting from the newly fitted out space.  

Solution

After speaking to Bluestone to understand the business and their finance requirements, the salon decided to move forward with a £225,000 finance lease which enabled them to spread the cost of their project over time and utilise the capital to cover 100% of the project cost.

This not only meant that they benefitted from huge tax savings but made sure they could keep precious capital within the business whilst also moving forward with their refurbishment at the same time.
